Editor, Gazette-Journal:

I extend my most sincere thanks and admiration to the awesome Mathews fans, adults and students alike, who supported the volleyball team all year long. You put in hundreds of miles and many late nights during the playoffs to show those girls how much you care. It was impressive. Though we fell short of our goal our young women played and fought hard to the very end and you stalwart fans were with them every step of the way.  

The other side of the coin is Pat and McKenzie Moughon, the dynamic duo of coaching. What a tremendous job they do leading and mentoring our girls. I was fortunate enough to be behind the scenes and witness all the hard work and energy they expend. WOW!! I firmly believe that Pat Moughon is the best coach in the state.

God bless all of you and I’ll see you at the net next year.
