Editor, Gazette-Journal:

During this local election frenzy, we would like to pause and take time to thank our Sheriff, Darrell Warren Jr., for the service he has provided in this capacity to Gloucester County for nearly 12 years. He has exhibited superior, level-headed leadership, encompassing appropriate decision-making skills, knowledge of the law, and the ability to guide his staff in protecting the citizens of this county.

He has set goals for the betterment of Gloucester and has proven to have achieved them. These goals have made our roads safer, our schools more protected and our neighborhoods more secure for all of us. He has earned the respect he now enjoys by implementing safe but deliberate practices that continue to make Gloucester the “Land of the Life Worth Living.”

We are so fortunate he is willing to serve us for another four years.
