Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Here I sit at home for the 44th day. Having left the house only a handful of times, I mostly then waited in the car. Is the quarantine getting to me? The answer is an unequivocal yes.

I have enjoyed the books I read and some of the hours of Netflix I have watched. Even my hair is ready to escape as I look like a way overgrown Chia Pet. The one real highlight in my week is the arrival of the Gazette-Journal.

I have always enjoyed this paper having subscribed years before we moved to Mathews. Now however I all but devour it, reading almost every single article. From the publisher all the way down the chain, all the employees of the paper have diligently come to work, done their jobs in an excellent manner and turned out an extraordinary paper week after week after week. For all of this, I thank you. Any sanity I have left is due in large part to the Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal.
