I would like to say thank you for my recent honor of serving as grand marshal of the Mathews County Christmas Parade. What a wonderful day I had! Also, thanks for the phone calls, notes and kind words so many of you have blessed me with. I feel so honored to live and work in such a wonderful community.

Speaking of a wonderful community, I would like to encourage each of you to take the time to visit the businesses in our county. Last Saturday, I did this and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Our Visitors Center and Bay School are wonderful and something we all should be very proud of. There is lots of talent in Mathews and you can certainly see it within these walls. I purchased several Christmas gifts and loved visiting with residents of Mathews while I shopped.
