Letter: Thank mothers

Editor, Gazette-Journal:
On Jan. 22, 1973, the Supreme Court made the Roe v Wade decision that allowed each pregnant woman to continue the pregnancy and give life or have an abortion. Except for children born to pregnant women without access to an abortion, everyone else born after that date in the U.S. is the result of a pro-life decision by their mother. If that includes you, you’re alive today because your mother chose life, despite the responsibilities, obligations, inconveniences, etc., of a pregnancy.
If you were born in the U.S. after Jan. 22, 1973, you belong to the pro-life generation—those who survived the womb thanks to their mother and despite efforts of abortionists. They include most of the people in the U.S. under 52 years old. Some may be your spouse, relatives or friends. They are most of the military, firefighters, police, pastors, doctors, teachers and other important jobs. They are almost all in their childbearing ages of 15 to 45 years old.
