Editor, Gazette-Journal: Last Friday, the Dixons of Gloucester kindly hosted Sen. Warner (D-Va.) in a meet and greet. He dedicated his speech to his recently deceased daughter who, before passing, had urged him to use his power “for good.” The 100+ in attendance applauded her. But whose “good” is he serving? Alluding to “guardrails on social media” and “data center disclosures,” Warner offered no roadmap to resolve affordability, seeming unconcerned data centers shred rural Virginia, as long as they “pay their fair share.” But should Democrats win midterms by colluding with tech moguls? Or with bellicose Israel? Blaming Iran for defending against Trump’s offensive “war of choice,” Warner didn’t mention Israel started the war with lies and assassinations, prodding Trump to bomb a girls’ school.
