Editor, Gazette-Journal: Did you know that Concerts By The Bay offers more than concerts to the public? In partnership with local community foundations & state grants, we bring performances into elementary schools in Gloucester and Mathews counties. Concerts By The Bay will sponsor The Virginia Stage Company with a performance of GreenBeats Live! at our local Mathews and Gloucester elementary schools this spring. This program is focused on environmental issues, addressing awareness and what simple, positive things we can do to promote our planet’s health. Note this program will address relevant Virginia Standards of learning. GreenBeats Live! celebrates our hero Malia, she learns to make small changes to protect her neighborhood and the environment with help from Skip the Stray, Scoop Dog Sam and her other friends.
