Letter: Supporting disabled vets

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 58 recently held its yearly “Forget-Me-Not” fundraiser. The money that was donated by so many generous people will help our local disabled veterans in the community. The money that was raised goes toward the veterans and not administrative costs.

We also wish to give our appreciation to the Walmart Supercenter, Hayes ABC Store, Farm Fresh of Hayes and Best Value in Mathews for allowing us the opportunity to have our fundraiser at their stores. To our members who volunteered their time in the rain, it was a privilege to have worked with you. Thank you for your service.
