Letter: Support for Plant Extravaganza appreciated

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Gloucester Master Gardeners’ 14th annual Plant Extravaganza on Sept. 17. With your generous support, along with that of our donors, vendors and volunteers, our fundraiser was a huge success! If you weren’t able to make it or you would like more plants, please stop by Brent and Becky’s. They have kindly offered to sell plants on our behalf.

The mission of Master Gardeners, as trained volunteers in partnership with Virginia Tech and the Gloucester County Virginia Cooperative Education, is to provide horticultural educational opportunities to the public through research-based programs and activities to enhance the environment and the lives of the residents in our community.

To fulfill that mission, proceeds from our fundraisers go to local community projects including: college scholarships to Gloucester High School students who show interest in continuing their education in the field of horticu...
