Letter: Student production was spectacular

If you were not in the Peasley Middle School auditorium on Friday, Saturday or Sunday of this past weekend, then you surely missed out on a terrific event. The Botetourt fourth and fifth grade play, "Alice in Wonderland, Jr." was truly a spectacular production.

Each child of the 45-member cast did an outstanding job in their part and each and every sold-out show was performed perfectly. I am always impressed by our teachers in Gloucester County, but play director Karen Scalf and assistant director Carolyn Molly went above and beyond to bring this wonderful production to life.

Practice began for this production in October of 2012, with the children committing to practice every Wednesday and Friday before school, beginning at 7:45 a.m. So much work went into making this play. Recognition and tremendous thanks go to every cast member, staff member, volunteer and parent who helped make this event truly something to see.
