On behalf of the Mathews County Woman’s Club, I would like to thank those in the community that helped make our annual Student Art Show a success.

First, thanks to the teachers who donate their time, talents and enthusiasm to their students—Vanessa Fry at Lee-Jackson, Alex Borick at Thomas Hunter, and Rachel Morris at Mathews High. Also, thanks to Rachel for coordinating between the schools and the woman’s club.

Second, thanks to the Bay School in Mathews who always supply the gift certificates to award the best-in-show winners at each school.

We also appreciate our hometown paper the Gazette-Journal, who gave us such a nice article covering all our winners and sent a representative to capture our open house for the paper.

Our club believes in this show as an outlet for student art and to support the great work our art teachers are doing to enhance creativity in our students. We hope to continue this show for many years to come with the c...
