Letter: Steps toward restoration

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Now that all the “tell-all” books regarding the Biden administration are popping up, it is becoming very clear that the Democrats and the media are guilty of omission, false information and cover-ups. Mark Zuckerberg who previously owned Facebook, testified that the Biden administration repeatedly pressured him to censor content and specific contributors.

In October 2020, just before the November election, 51 “former intelligence officers” wrote a letter saying that Hunter Biden’s laptop was a hoax. However, it has since been revealed that FBI investigators handling Hunter Biden’s laptop had concluded back in 2019 that the laptop was genuinely his.

There are more examples, but the greatest travesty was the cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline, the details of which are now coming to light. These lies put America in grave danger as our president was at times unable to make sound decisions. Democracy was denied as unelected staffers made crucial decisions.

Americans have lost trust in their government and the only way to solve this is to try to find the truth. In his first term, President Trump proved himself to not be vindictive when he refused to prosecute Hillary Clinton for mishandling classified information on her secret server. However, in order to rebuild our trust, in order to heal our divided nation, the truth must be told. DOGE is rooting out buried corruption hidden in old unverifiable government computing systems through which billions have been filtered to cronies and relatives.

Deeper investigations must be made. Americans deserve to know who was actually running the government and making the decisions. Those who told us Biden was as sharp as a tack must go under oath. The Democrats will scream that the Republicans are seeking retaliation, but they would really be seeking restoration.
