Editor, Gazette-Journal: While this letter is a little bittersweet, I made this decision over a year ago. I considered saying goodbye to my role as the Daffodil Festival coordinator then, but after much thought decided to carry on. Now I have completed a wonderful 40th year celebration so it is time for this chapter in my life to close. Please do not think I will be leaving the beautiful people and connections I have made in Gloucester County behind. I have a whole new chapter to explore. I accepted the position of festival coordinator in 2014 to honor my mother, who was born and raised in Gloucester, growing up in Ware Neck. She had just passed away. In the past 12 years I have discovered so much about her ancestors, connecting us to Rosewell and Warner Hall. I have reconnected to Nuttall’s store, a place I loved as a child, going there often with my Granddaddy Nuttall.
