Recently, I learned of Penny Smith’s candidacy for Treasurer of Gloucester County. This came as a surprise, and my reaction was one of sadness for the loss to the Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury community.

My husband and I met Penny five years ago when we joined Rappahannock Westminster-Canterbury. We had many questions and requested a meeting with Penny. She provided the answers to all our questions and worked to accommodate our requests.

After making the move, we quickly learned that Penny values each resident and avails herself to provide assistance as needed. Her approach is always positive and the results effective.

With confidence, discretion and professionalism, Penny provides financial leadership to this community. Her experience and understanding provide a level of assurance to us, knowing that her focus is the financial success of each resident and this community.

This is a great opportunity for Gloucester County to see her as Treasurer...
