Letter: Small steps can make a big difference

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Earth Day. It’s not just a day to realize that we should be better to our planet, but a day to be better to our planet. I’m not a scientist and I don’t know all of the technical terms about the earth or anything; I’m only 11 years old.

But I do know that we were all blessed with a wonderful planet and that our great-grandchildren should have the same blessing. You don’t have to do much. Really, you don’t have to do anything!

Simply recycling one soda can save enough energy for a TV to run for three hours! Imagine how much energy we could save if everyone recycled. We are all part of a huge puzzle. Let’s make that puzzle come together.
