Letter: Shoot responsibly

I thought I would pass on a recent experience in hopes of educating those who may need it, and possibly preventing a needless tragedy. Living in Gloucester affords a lot of opportunities, one of them being the ability to enjoy firearms freely and openly. I enjoy shooting, but have received training through military service and do it smartly. So, let me pass on a story from this past weekend in hopes of opening the eyes of those who may not know better.

My wife and I picked up a new pup this past weekend and were out in the back of our property along the wood line walking our dog. I heard some folks shooting a couple of lots over and thought nothing of it, as I assumed they knew what they were doing and were shooting safely.
