Letter: Sheriff’s office goes extra mile

In our current state of affairs in which we sometimes find ourselves surrounded by a poor economy, turmoil, frustration and negativity—just to name a few—it should not go unnoticed when something wonderful happens in our community that really helps to make a positive difference in the life of someone.

We all know many reasons and benefits as to why we prefer living in our beautiful and rural community which is nestled between rivers and creeks—but I think one of the most significant reasons we all enjoy living here is our "small-town feel" in which we all can be a part of. There are few places left in our world where you can call the local police department and within minutes a deputy will be at your door to help get your keys out of a locked car.
