Letter: Senior Safety Fair a resounding success

I am honored to serve as the chair of the S.A.L.T. Council (Seniors and Law Enforcement Together). On September 23, we hosted the third annual Senior Safety Fair. This was a fun-filled day with speakers and exhibitors who spoke on topics of concern to our near or in retirement-aged population. It was a resounding success! 

The Council is made up of citizens and stakeholders from the community who have committed to work together to enhance the quality of life for our older citizens. Our purpose is to heighten awareness and focus our efforts in mobilizing community resources to ascertain the needs and concerns of older citizens and to provide the tools for meeting those needs.

I am writing to publicly thank all of our members of the S.A.L.T. Council, Riverside Health System, the volunteers and community business partners who volunteered their time and made donations so that we could be of service to our “Vintage Virginians” here in Gloucester....
