Letter: Saying ‘Thank You’ doesn’t seem like enough

On Monday, June 4, members of the Piankatank Community League hosted a covered dish dinner for approximately 60 Gloucester Fire & Rescue volunteers in recognition of their dedicated service to the county. Although the league served as host, the dinner would not have been successful without the outpouring of help in the way of food donations from area residents. We always have a dedicated cadre of members who can be counted on to help set up, serve food and do cleanup chores. I am pleased with how well everyone pulled together to make the evening a huge success. I want to send a heartfelt "Thank You" to everyone who helped make the dinner an enjoyable night for the fire and rescue volunteers.

And to the Gloucester Fire & Rescue volunteers, "Thank You" doesn’t seem like enough to express the appreciation for what you folks do for the community. Keep yourselves safe while you do the same for all of us.
