Letter: Save St. Margaret’s School

St. Margaret’s School means everything to me. It’s where I’ve grown into who I am, surrounded by people who feel like family.
I’m sixteen and entering 11th grade, but St. Margaret’s has been part of my life since I was five. My earliest memories include visiting campus, seeing the girls in their uniforms, and dreaming I’d one day be one of them. Without this school, my mom and I wouldn’t be part of this wonderful community like we are today.
St. Margaret’s isn’t just a school; it’s my safe place. It’s where I’ve learned not only academics but how to be brave, speak up, and believe in myself.
What I love most is the people. My friends and the staff are like my family, and there’s a sisterhood here that’s unlike anywhere else. I’ve loved watching girls experience their “firsts”—first crab feast, first swim in the river, or even their first time in the U.S. Those moments change how we see the world and ourselves.
