Letter: Resolution was not about water quality

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

In the article in the March 26 edition of the Gazette-Journal (“Mathews board approves fracking restriction”), the reporter recounts that Mathews County Supervisor Janine Burns stated the board had had guest speakers twice, but what she fails to mention, or perhaps was unaware of, is that all three of the authorities from the state were emphatic in their declarations that Mathews County had nothing to be concerned about from fracking! That reality makes it obvious that while Mrs. Burns insisted her resolution was about water quality, the facts belie the truth!
