Letter: Remember aborted babies

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Since 2013, the second Saturday in September has been designated as a Day of Remembrance of 61 million (as of this year) aborted babies in the United States. For comparison, the total number of military and civilians killed on both sides in World War II is estimated to be between 60 million and 85 million.

Pro-lifers try to save the lives of unborn children by convincing pregnant women to have the child and either keep or put the child up for adoption. We also try to inform the public, especially pregnant women, about alternatives to abortion, such as Care Net crisis pregnancy centers, who provide help to pregnant women, and Safe Haven, which accepts newborn babies and puts them up for adoption.

On 12 September, please pray for the end of this abomination in the U.S. and the rest of the world.
