Editor, Gazette-Journal: The party of Law and Order is now using the courts to prevent the citizens of Virginia from voting. Counties and cities are creating resolutions to block voting. Mid-decade redistricting in already Republican-controlled states was called for by the President. If the midterm Congressional elections fail to retain the current majority Republican seats, he is rightfully concerned that he may be impeached a third time and possibly removed from office. Redistricting in Texas, Ohio, North Carolina, Missouri, Indiana and Florida are adding more Republican seats. Virginia’s temporary redistricting is to rebalance the scales, not to give Democrats an unfair advantage in Congress, but to make the national elections fair and balanced, and to represent the will of the people in the state.
