Editor, Gazette-Journal:
I write to support the re-election of Tara Thomas as Treasurer of Gloucester County.
Since first elected, Mrs. Thomas consistently has operated the office in a professional manner with diligence and courtesy to taxpayers. She is exemplary in employing up-to-date policies and procedures.
During my tenure in the Virginia House of Delegates, Mrs. Thomas was an effective spokesperson and tireless advocate on behalf of the citizens of Gloucester, and frequently called my office or traveled to Richmond for that purpose.
As a Gloucester property owner and taxpayer, I am reassured in having a person of her integrity and capability managing and safeguarding the county’s financial resources.
