Letter: Race to Success at MHS

Research has shown that community involvement in the local school system is a critical element of student success. The recent Race to Success career day school-wide event proved the overwhelming support that Mathews High School receives from the community.

On behalf of the Race to Success team and the Mathews High School faculty and staff, I would like to offer the sincerest thank you to the interviewers, presenters, and volunteers who donated their time for the benefit of the students at Mathews High School. Between the three events—senior mock interviews, the junior/sophomore meet and greet, and the freshman Reality Store—students learned from the experiences of over 70 community volunteers.
