Editor, Gazette-Journal: I attended the Oct. 17 candidate forum with Mari Gibbs and Lorraine Forrest and found it was well attended. Everyone in attendance was given cards to write our questions on them and then the Rev. Dr. Marcus Stallworth was to read out the questions. On the card, you could ask for both candidates to answer or just note the candidate you want to answer. This seemed a fair way to do questions and answers for the candidates. Unfortunately, a man and woman behind the Reverend were first going through the cards and picking out the questions to give to the Reverend. I believe all the questions should have been given to the Reverend directly and no one in the back go through the cards first. Why were they going through the cards? Perhaps to check for duplicate questions or to select questions for Lorraine Forrest? It was very suspicious to me. Also, during the Q&A period, Mari Gibbs always stood up and looked out directly to the audience to answer her questions. Lor...
