A lot of misinformation has been spread regarding Obamacare and its botched rollout. I want to respond to John Sweeney’s “Let’s be fair” letter of Nov. 14, which perpetrates the Progressive Democratic version of this disaster.

Three years ago, Obama said “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan. Period.” He’s repeated this statement many times since, most recently two months prior to the rollout. Mr. Sweeney asserts that we should have implicitly understood that Obama really meant that you can keep your plan “as long as it is offered by the insurer.” This is typical Progressive misinformation. The estimated 5 million policy cancellations are not due to insurance companies deciding to change their offerings, but to requirements built into Obamacare that force them to change.
