Letter: Praise for the ‘Pearl of the Chesapeake’

I am writing in reference to the Gazette-Journal article regarding the pipeline work begin done by TA Sheets Mechanical Contractor of Norfolk. I am no engineer, so I can’t comment on the mechanics of the pipeline. I do, however, have excellent eyesight, and want to compliment the crew on the workmanlike manner in which they have left their worksites at the end of each day. I have never seen one piece of litter—no cans, paper cups, fast food wrappers, etc.—no debris of any kind—ever.

I also would like to compliment the local staff of the U.S. Census Bureau, with whom I had the pleasure of working in May and June. While we had some glitches, my supervisors Wendi Shields and Paulette Burrell were always available and competently resolved any problem I encountered.
