Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Yesterday I was in my old neighborhood just starting my canvassing for candidates, all with having prepared and with great enthusiasm to visit with my old neighbors. My first stop was only to hang doorknob info as I knew they weren’t home.

A lazy old-looking dog got up and moseyed toward me. I wasn’t concerned as the dog looked friendly. All of a sudden, the dog growled and attacked. I got out of there fast with a gaping tear and bleeding profusely. I wrapped up my finger and within 8-10 minutes arrived at Dr. Christian Wathen’s office. How grateful and relieved I was to be taken care of immediately by all the young women hustling around a shaking me, and a very efficient and capable doctor and her student.

If anyone out here is looking to find a new doctor in the area, please go by and meet Dr. Wathen and her staff. I think you will be impressed with how knowledgeable and compassionate she is.

I think my canvassing is over.
