Letter: Pop culture at its finest

The Gloucester County Public Library held its third annual Comix Con at the Main Library on Saturday, Aug. 11. Despite the threat of rain early in the day, the weather was in our favor.  A total of 3,011 enthusiasts (many dressed in costume) ventured out to enjoy pop culture at its finest!

Storm Troopers, Spiderman, Tinkerbell, Supergirl, Batman and many more characters were on hand to greet the public. Prizes were awarded during the culminating costume contest.  Crafts, games, giveaways, demonstrations, face painting, and story times were available during the day.

An event of this magnitude takes the dedication and hard work of many folks. I would like to express my thanks.
