The Gloucester County Public Library held the 5th annual Comix Con at the Main Library on Saturday, Aug. 13. What a beautiful day. The weather was definitely in our favor. More than two thousand enthusiasts, many dressed in costume, ventured out to enjoy pop culture at its finest.

Storm Troopers, Spiderman, Supergirl, Batman and many more characters were in attendance. Prizes for best costume were awarded. Crafts, games, giveaways, demonstrations, face painting, and other fun activities were available throughout the day.

An event of this magnitude takes the dedication and hard work of many folks. I would like to express my thanks.

First, the Gloucester County Friends of the Library sponsored Comix Con. They raise money all year to sponsor all library events.
