Ernie is missing!
Our beloved skeleton is missing. Ernie has no monetary value, just an emotional treasure to us.
When the Poplar Grove and Tide Mill Foundation bought the parcel, we did so to protect the mill, and restore it. We also acquired the old and in badly need of restoration, historic house. The house had not been lived in for 10 years and the previous owner collected and stashed all sorts of stuff that has taken us weeks to clear out. One of the very first objects we found was Ernie. Ernie hangs at our entrance and is a constant reminder of what we were faced with and how with tender loving care we hopefully can make the old home respectful and good for another 200 years.
So please, whoever borrowed Ernie, please return him. He means more to us than to you.
