Letter: Photo brings back good memories of Gloucester

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Recently, a friend sent us a picture from the Gazette-Journal dated April 9. The picture was of my daughters and a clown from the 1988 Daffodil Festival.

It was such a wonderful thing to see! We moved from Gloucester in 2000 to come home to Michigan. When we did, we left many friends, some family and a large part of our hearts behind. Through these friends, we have kept up with the changes there and we hope to visit soon!

Gloucester was a warm and loving place to call home and we miss it very much. So a big Thank-You for not forgetting us! Seeing that picture in the paper is like looking at your old high school yearbook … feeling the warm memories and aching just a little from nostalgia.

A big “Hey” to our dear friends in Gloucester from the cold North lands! Hope to one day see all you dear people.

With love and appreciation.
