Letter: Parker for Gloucester School Board

Anita F. Parker deserves a fifth term on the Gloucester County School Board. When she first ran for the school board in 2005, Mrs. Parker committed herself to listening to constituents and working on behalf of students, especially those who lacked an advocate. As a mother of three sons, Mrs. Parker had been active in scouting in Gloucester County and later in the athletic boosters. She had also observed first-hand several of the county’s public schools as a substitute teacher.

Throughout her tenure on the school board, Mrs. Parker has continued to listen to constituents and advocate for the best interests of Gloucester County’s students. She has remained visible in the county’s public schools to parents and teachers alike. School employees know they can speak freely to Anita Parker without fear of retribution by the administration.
