I would like to thank everyone who participated in the Meals on Wheels fundraiser last Wednesday evening. It was a wonderful night and I enjoyed visiting with each of you. As usual, I was overwhelmed by the generosity of all who attended. I realize you had other ways of spending your evening, but I appreciate you spending it with us.

We prepare and send out for delivery approximately 400 meals per week. Without this fundraiser and donations throughout the year, it would be difficult to provide good quality meals for our patrons. As a result of last week’s barbecue dinner, we were able to raise $4,019. Diane and I love this program and take great pride in providing this service to the participating residents of Mathews County. We thank you for making this possible.
