Letter: One account of the Agenda 21 meeting

Approximately 175 people attended the Property Rights event on Monday, Oct. 24 at Cornerstone Church in Mathews County sponsored by the Concerned Citizens of the Middle Peninsula. Many had not been to previous meetings, including a delegation from North Carolina.

The featured speaker was Donna Holt, president of the Virginia Campaign for Liberty, whose presentation gave background information on the United Nations’ Agenda 21 and then showed how the U.N.’s plan has been incorporated in the Mathews County Comprehensive plan and other such plans around Virginia and the country.

Donna revealed the following:

Sustainable Development assumes government power to enforce activists’ views of environmentalism. It merges environmentalism and socialism to expand government into every aspect of our lives, including land use, food production, housing, transportation, manufacturing, energy rationing and even health care.
