Letter: Obama hindered in efforts to turn economy around

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

In response to Dawn Dale’s letter ("Change by Obama," Aug. 9 Readers Write), yes, President Obama campaigned on change, but that can only happen when people work together for the common good of all.

In 2009, the GOP ran on job creation and when they gained control of the House, Mitch McConnell said the GOP’s top priority was to make Obama a one-term president. To the detriment of this country, they tried to undermine this president in every way. This statement was at the start of that divide.

The jobs are slow in coming back, but I guess it’s hard to bring them back from other countries if the corporations and CEOs can’t make the big profits by hiring American workers. They also seem to make large profits here with less workers. Just make American workers work more for less.
