The First Morning Star Baptist Church family will not be participating in the 2018 Guinea Jubilee due to changes that the Jubilee committee made that do not work for the church. In July, our church celebrated its 150th anniversary.
Our church serves God and wins the lost and all are welcome for praise and worship.
We are a part of the Guinea Heritage, and have been a part of the Jubilee celebration for over 20 years. Our signature crab cakes, soft-shell crab sandwiches, sweet potato and apple jacks, home-baked cakes, pies, brownies and cookies have made their mark with all those who attend the Jubilee. The church family would like to thank everyone that made our sales so profitable. The proceeds from the Jubilee are given back to the community in support of the following charitable organizations: Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula, Gloucester...
