Letter: Not a third-world country!

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

Those who serve us in government, whether Democrat or Republican, should be treated with respect and given a thank you for sticking their necks out while trying to do what they were elected to do. No matter how much we may dislike or distrust someone, we never have the right to physically harm them!

In politics, there will always be some nasty exchange of words, but when Americans cross the line and attempt physical harm, we all look like one of those third-world countries and this must be stopped.

When you want to be heard, put your thoughts into a letter to the editor or the office of the elected. You may not receive a response, but just taking the time and making the effort will help you deal with the issue of concern.
