Editor, Gazette-Journal: The “No Kings” Movement, now a highly organized coalition, continues to misinform voters across the state and form voting blocks of malcontents. Virginia had “No Kings” protests on July 18 in Williamsburg, Charlottesville, Woodbridge, Manassas, Chase City, Haymarket, Alexandria, Springfield, Annandale, Chantilly, Tysons, Staunton, Lynchburg and Reston. Our Saluda Historic Courthouse was not listed this go-round. Organizations considered “Partners” according to “No Kings” website (www.nokings.org/partners) include: the National Education Association, the American Federation of Teachers, the Transgender Law Center, Unitarian Universalists, Women’s March, NOW (National Organization for Women), Georgetown University, Roanoke Indivisible, Reproductive Freedom for All, Planned Parenthood, Virginia League of Women Voters, ACLU, American Atheists, American Association of University Professors, and 73 for Palestine.
