Letter: New life for old homes

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

As I drive around Gloucester County I see many houses sitting empty and deteriorating. Many are too far gone to repurpose, but many appear to be suitable for rehab and possibly reuse by lower income or homeless people/families. Since these old homes are spread across the county and somewhat isolated, movement of some would likely be necessary and salvageable materials moved and reused.

It just seems a shame to watch these homes rot away when, with some planning, they could be repurposed and used by the needy. Has anyone ever given this a thought?
