Letter: New leadership will move county forward

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

We finally have new leadership at the helm of the ship. With Mr. Kiser and the school board firing shells at the ship, it is hard to keep the ship afloat. The Gloucester Board of Supervisors is responsible to the people (the taxpayers) to manage the funds that are paid by the people.

The many rules, ordinances, plans and regulations that have been put in place take away people’s rights and the freedom to do what they want with their own property. This was done by a previous planning director who rewrote the rules, took away your property rights and destroyed the building process in the county.

Hopefully, with JJ Orth as the chairman and new board members John Meyer, Phillip Bazzani and Mike Winebarger, changes to the ordinance will be made to put this county back in the right direction.
