Editor, Gazette-Journal: We moved to Cobbs Creek five years ago from Connecticut, retiring here to be nearer to our children/grandchildren. When the opportunity presented itself, we moved. We have not been disappointed—the area and quality of people we’ve interacted with has been nothing short of terrific. Even being called a “come here” has been said with a twinkle and smile, not with malice or ill will, more as a term of endearment. And we are thankful and appreciative. I am mystified by one thing, however. The commitment to Mr. Trump. Being from the tri-state area around NYC, I have a long exposure to the now POTUS. I don’t know him personally, but have family and acquaintances who have worked with him and unanimously been negatively impacted by his lack of the very qualities that Mathews County is proud of.
