The Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad rocks. Lolita held me in her virtual arms and kept me calm until the troops arrived. Doug and John (in alphabetical order: equally awesome) swept in, and with great care, respect and competence, took my loved one under their wings.
They were amazing.
I implore your readers to support them. Times are difficult, but these are our local heroes.My gratitude is immeasurable, and I wish I could add way more zeros to the check I am sending them.
