Letter: Museum is succeeding and growing

Editor, Gazette-Journal:

The Mathews Historical Museum is succeeding and growing, thanks to our members and volunteers. Therefore, we are having a wine and refreshment reception and lots of fun this Friday, Feb. 17.

We couldn’t survive without our members and volunteers and invite you, our community, to become a supporting member and join us.

Some of our projects are weekly hot dog sales with homemade chili on Saturdays, and movies on the second Friday of the month. On March 17, we will hold our St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner at Kingston Parish. All are welcome. And, of course, May Faire will be held on the first Saturday of May. Plus the museum displays.

A short program will be presented on Friday and the introduction of our board members by John Caramia, Museum Chairman.
