A friend is gone. Skyy, the handsome, dignified and much-admired Great Pyrenees namesake and "landlord" of The White Dog Inn—and unofficial mayor of Mathews Court House, has succumbed to an incurable terminal disease. He is sadly missed, not only by his human family, but the Inn staff and many friends and patrons.
Is it too fanciful to imagine that Skyy has been promoted to assisting St. Peter, managing the celestial guest register?
Sincerest condolences to the Van Cliefs.
