Letter: Morrow deserves our thanks

In reading last week’s Gazette-Journal article regarding the Mathews dilemma, G.C. Morrow deserves our thanks for protecting the property owners of Mathews. In full disclosure, I volunteered to be the treasurer of his campaign years ago, only because I knew him to be an extremely knowledgeable advocate for our county as a resident.

He is someone willing to stand up to pressure against solutions that were not beneficial for Mathews. Since 2010, I attended many frustrating years of BOS and Planning Commission meetings. In Mr. Morrow, I was encouraged to finally find someone who understood what I was witnessing as certain regulatory options began to unnecessarily strangle property owners legally and financially.
