The Mathews Land Conservancy wishes to acknowledge and thank the outpouring of interest and support in the Williams Wharf Project from both within Mathews and afar. The careful deliberations by all involved in the road abandonment issues and property transfer showcased how our local government works, allowing for all opinions to be considered.

Pleased and encouraged with the outcome, and after 18 years of diligent dedication, the MLC board looks forward to moving on with project completion and will continue to be mindful of all the suggestions and opinions expressed during this past opportunity of high public exposure. The MLC’s office is open for information, questions or comment, from 9-4, Monday through Thursday (725-9685) and invites all to visit Williams Wharf, daily from sunrise to sunset, to appreciate and enjoy this historic, unique and pristine 4-acre waterfront site that will continue to be available to all in perpetuity!
