On Saturday, June 3, the Mathews Rotary Club will launch its second annual Party With A Purpose at Williams Wharf to support Nelda Gibbs and Meals on Wheels. The fundraising party is from 4-7:30 p.m. and will feature the legendary band The Roadducks from Northern Virginia. Food will be provided by Backwoods BBQ and On the Flip Side with dessert by Short Lane Ice Cream.

Beer, wine and soft drinks will be available. Tickets are $30 and include one beverage.

Party With A Purpose was begun by Mathews Rotary to use its celebratory talents to serve our community by mixing fun and a good cause.

I encourage the community to come out and support this very worthwhile program that provides nutritious and delicious meals to those who need it. In addition to ticket sales, we are soliciting sponsors and cash donations to further enhance this fundraising effort.
