Forty-four percent of our children live in poverty. Thousands go to bed hungry each night. The recent session of our state government spent an unusual amount of time and effort concerning the unborn. Yet they put barriers to the efforts of others to reduce the number of newborns they could not support. Their thinking, ideas and actions are poorly rooted in reality.
